It's Unit 8 already....?? Oh boy, Oh boy, Oh boy....

Primarily, the only main issues I've had were deciding on a topic for my project and trying to figure out how I wanted to go about it. I have managed to overcome that obstacle and just need to revise and edit for my final draft submission. I had a few distractions also, but have pulled the work together fairly well. If it means I have to stay up all hours of the night, or work an entire day on the assignments, then that's what I have to do. Nothing but a thing.

It really doesn't bother me about the comments, or lack of, on my blog posts. The way I see it, if someone wants to comment, that's fine. If they don't, that's fine too. It's all good either way.

I will possibly keep my blog even after the course has completed. I don't know that I will go on it as much though. I have other accounts I try to keep up with. Luckily, I have a few classmates on my Facebook page, so I will be able to keep in contact with them there.

Well, it's back to studying, researching, revising, editing, writing, and typing..LOL..Maybe sleep in a few.

Whew...

What a weekend!! I had company over for a cookout Saturday since the weather was so nice and it was the first day of Spring. But I believe I partied too much because I didn't feel like doing much of crap today. Ooopsie...

I don't mind peer review and really never had any bad experiences with it. It's like a second or third opinion, another set of eyes. It's there to help you produce a better piece of work. Ya, sometimes the comments can be a little overwhelming, but you take the feedback with an open mind and apply it. You can either accept it or not. Ultimately, your the one that decides what you want to do with the feedback given.

It's been 6 weeks already....

Time sure flies by when one is a busy beaver. It seems like the term just started. I've actually haven't been on schedule like I was in my previous terms. I have had many interruptions with family issues and home life. It doesn't help that I'm taking Comp II and AP II this term either. Both classes require research on a topic for a paper. So, I have been in front of the computer more than usual conducting research. Also, my printer ran out of ink and I have to write everything out in notes. I have pages of this and pages of that. Talk about writer's cramp. My right hand isn't loving this term much. Too bad I can write with my left. But everything is still moving along as it should. I am on track and can't wait to complete this term and move onto the next. The week in between will be awesome. More than likely I'll be bored out of my mind because I like to stay busy, but it will be a little relief. Best of luck with your rough draft submissions!

On the way down the backside

Eventually Unit 5 will end and we will be halfway to the end of the term. But from past terms, it just makes the remaining units that much harder. In this course I have to get cracking on my research and prewriting for my paper. My other course I have to do same, take exams every week, and then a final in unit 10. That should be a whole lot of fun. I can't wait for that. NOT!!!

Any academic challenges I have at this time would be trying to set up community service. I am in the Honors program and I am required to complete 3 tasks as part it. One is completing so many hours of community service. There isn't a problem finding volunteer work. It's just trying to schedule it on days I am free and having transportation. When you have one vehicle it makes it a little harder. Yes, I'm aware of public transportation, but taking a bus for like an hour to get somewhere 5-8 miles is off the chain. I don't have time like that to waste just riding a bus all around town just to get to a short destination.

School influencing my life, are you kidding? LOL. That's funny. That seems to be all I do now. I've missed out on a lot because of it, but in the long run, it will be worth it. I have learned to double up on assignments, or get a weeks worth of work done fast, just so I can go have some fun every once in awhile. I call it my reward. But when we get the week in between terms I am pinging off the wall. Go figure.

I'm slacking....

Boy, oh boy.....This week is about behind us and I still have work to do. I got into the Olympics, but now it's over. I mean it only comes every 4 years and this year was truly emotional at times. Now, it's back to the books and busting tail to get back on track. It won't take long to get that accomplished.

I've been trying to find a blessed job and have applied for anything and everything. Now, I got potential employers calling left and right. I had a few interviews last week and I have a few this week. I hate when it goes like this...Ugh...!!! At least it seems like the economy is finally picking up. Yay..!!! I may have a FT and a PT job soon. Nothing like taking the other foot and putting it in the grave. Oh well, one has got to do what they got to do, right?

There shouldn't be an issue with plagiarism. But unfortunately there is a huge one. One that can't take the time and effort to do their work on their own, and tries to pass someone else's as their own, is a fraud and will amount to nothing. I understand why we have to cite, but does it have to be so difficult?? I mean it seems to change from term to term. I do it one way one term and find out it's not appropriate in another. Where is the fine line here? What exactly is the right way and what is the wrong? It's a guessing game for sure.

I still have to view the video for the 80 point quiz. When I saw that I was like 'Whoa buddy'. That's more points than my first part of my project for AP class. Those aren't quiz points, those are exam points. LOL.

Off I go to play catch up... =)
